From Microphone to Mouse Clicks: Becky Tarlton’s Journey into the Online Auction Frontier

Hailing from Rowan County, North Carolina, Becky has not only made her mark as a trailblazer in traditional auctioneering but has seamlessly transitioned into mastering the dynamic realm of online auctions. Her journey from commanding the microphone to conquering the virtual world of bidding is a testament to her pioneering spirit.
Meet Angie Williams, or as some call her Mama Angie
Recently, Angie asked if I would be willing to meet at the Winston-Salem Rescue Mission, to explain to them how other nonprofits have benefited from the auction process.
While I was there, I learned that Angie is a very familiar face to the staff and some residents at the rescue Mission.
South Africa’s connection with Mocksville, NC
Dr. Slate graduated from the University of Cape Town medical school in 1947, completed his internship in Cape Town and Durban, and then worked at Johannesburg Mission Hospital before spending a year in Lesotho. He also worked at New York University, George Washington University, and the Veteran's Administration. He was known in our community as Mayor Dr. Francis Slate, having served as the mayor of Mocksville for several years.
